Rumours which began circulating at the weekend have been confirmed by manager Gary Johnson, who admits that with results going against his side in recent weeks that his decison to part company with the player could come back to haunt him.

“Everybody thinks other people should be playing or we should be going and getting this player or that player in the transfer market," he told the Chronicle & Echo with Harrad, yet to feature this season due to injury, poised to join Rochdale ahead of the deadline.

“Shaun can’t be part of my plans right this minute because he’s got an injury and he’s one that may need to seek pastures new.

Attention this week turns to the JP Trophy when Johnson's side will look to get a boost with a much-needed win. To do that however they will have to get past one of League One's top sides in Huddersfield.

Manager Lee Clark's priority may be promotion but after getting within one game of the final last season he told the Huddersfield Examiner that he would be fielding a strong side for the game.
