Northampton V Newport County at Sixfields Stadium - Match Preview

Kaid Mohamed and Ian Morris remain out for Northampton's clash with Newport.

Mohamed is out after surgery on a broken metatarsal while midfielder Morris is sidelined for the season with a knee injury.

The Cobblers were close to signing Swindon striker Miles Storey this week but pulled out because the Robins wanted a loan fee, while Emile Sinclair and Gregor Robertson have both left the club this week.

"Decisions are made and we have to balance the books as well. It's not an open cheque book and we have to balance things out," boss Chris Wilder told Cobblers Player.

Newport welcome back defender Kevin Feely ahead of the trip.

The 22-year-old has been sidelined for two months with a serious finger injury and completed 90 minutes of a behind-closed-doors reserve game in midweek.

Feely could be thrown straight into the starting line-up with a deal to re-sign Darcy Blake having collapsed and Andrew Hughes (knee) ruled out for the season.

Midfielder Robbie Willmott remains County's only other major absentee with a broken foot
