Town (And Sixfields) Get A Week To Prepare For Plymouth

While Chris Wilder gets a full week to work with his new squad and build on the point gained at Cheltenham, the Sixfields pitch will hopefully get a week of better weather to be in playable condition for another crucial game for the Cobblers.

Northampton's postponed game against Rochdale last Tuesday was followed by another washout of Coventry City's fixture with Walsall at the weekend, raising the prospect of fixture congestion and an unhelpful playing surface hampering Town's fight against relegation.

Plymouth scored a stoppage time equaliser against Mansfield at the weekend but manager John Sheridan was again left frustrated by his side's slow start, saying: "We finished the game really strongly, I wish we played like that in the first 60 or 70 minutes."
